Joachim Böhmer (b. 1 October 1940 in Berlin; d. 28 December 1999) was a German rower in the former German Democratic Republic, who competed for the SC Dynamo Berlin/ Sportvereinigung (SV) Dynamo. He won the medals at the international rowing competitions, winning the silver medal with Hans-Ulrich Schmied in the 1970 world championship, a gold in the 1971 European championship, and a bronze (third place) in the 1972 Olympic rowing doubles in Munich. On retiring from sport Böhmer studied political science, and became a criminologist for the police in the Köpenick district of former East Berlin.
